The Baltimore Station (March)
Housed in the old South Baltimore Station fire house, The Baltimore Station’s mission is to provide rigorous self-help programs to support men, most of whom are veterans, who are transitioning from the cycle of poverty, substance abuse and homelessness to self-sufficiency.
In 2008, FTLA designed a green roof for an addition to the group’s Federal Hill location. The original roof was designed to meet Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Stormwater requirements, filtering rainwater and preventing water from running over an asphalt or petroleum-based roof product or across City streets and dumping pollutants into the Bay.
As part of our 10 Years, 10 Causes initiative, FTLA will provide ongoing maintenance of the original green roof, including replanting during the month of March.
