Jeremy Frederick
A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Jeremy leads our office interest in design of green roof technologies. With several green roofs on his resume, Jeremy hopes that some day Baltimore will be as widely known for its regional green roofs as it is for its aquarium.
“We have a great opportunity in a Renaissance city like Baltimore to be a leader in green roof design. More building owners need to know that they can reduce maintenance costs and save money on heating and cooling while helping the environment. Green roofs can reduce the region’s CO2, filter the stormwater that runs to the Chesapeake Bay, and provide habitat for plants and wildlife.”
Favorite plant: A favorite plant of mine is Hosta. It reminds me of my first gardening experiences, growing several variations at my parents house. They are a reliable, wet and shade tolerant bunch, come in several varieties and have a unique almost tropical look.
